This comprehensive Vaccination + Immunisation Foundation Training Course equips healthcare professionals with the essential knowledge and practical skills required to deliver safe and effective vaccination services. Following the National Minimum Standards and Core Curriculum for Immunisation Training for Registered Healthcare Practitioners, the course combines theoretical learning with practical application, covering vaccine administration, immunisation principles, patient communication, anaphylaxis management, and basic life support.
The programme is delivered through a two-part structure, combining online learning with a practical classroom session. Delegates will develop the confidence and competence required to administer vaccinations safely, manage potential complications, and support patients, parents, and carers with accurate information.
Course Structure: Two-Part Training
1. E-learning Pre-requisite
The theory element of the course is completed online through the HSG My Account Login. Delegates must complete the full e-learning module and achieve a minimum score of 80% in the final assessment before attending the practical classroom session.
Completion of the e-learning module is mandatory. Delegates who have not completed the online training will not be eligible to attend the practical session.
2. Practical Classroom Session
The practical session provides hands-on vaccination training, demonstrations, and an end-of-course competency assessment. Delegates must successfully complete both the e-learning and practical classroom components to receive their course certificate.
